Agreed. Win rate can be expressed in either xx $ or xx BB per xx hours or xx hands or whatever. The cards you receive are a random distribution (randomness of shuffle arguments aside). If you play at an advantage, the more hours/hands you play, the more you win in the long run. You can't pick which hands you will win and which hands you will lose (assuming both correct pre-flop hand selection and subsequent play). You can look back and spot a streak..you can't look ahead and see it coming. If one is truly playing poker at an advantage his lifetime graph is expressed as a random walk with an upward drift. You just have to suffer enough variance torture until the law of large numbers takes over.
