Dell question

Hey guys, wondering if you can help me out. I've been considering buying an Inspiron 1520 (it's a 15.4inch model) with the 1680X1050 screen option. I don't play more than 4 tables but it would be nice to fit 4 prima tables comfortably on the screen is this $100 upgrade from 1200X800 worth the bucks? Second question: Dell.com and dell.ca operate independently and dell.com currently offers a $300 coupon for Inspiron models which dell.ca does not match creating quite a price disparity between the two...does dell.ca frequently offer similar discounts? I don't seem to see any 'back to school' promo on dell.ca which is unusual for this time of year.
