Default Fasion: Part 2. Designing and Modifying

I see a ton of really cool shirts that are semi-modified or customized being sold in stores around Vancouver. Naturally, I have to have them. Ive accumulated a bunch of them, except the only problem is they cost around 100 each. I wanna be able to unleash my creativity on my own for less cost and more... expression.

What sort of things should I get and use so I can do that? Im thinkin modified shirts mostly but maybe some jeans too.

Here are some things ive come up with thatll help me out:
1) a bedazzler
2) a sewing machine that I can use to hem + put sticking on
3) liquids that stain. Ive tried lipstick but i guess its meant to come out of shirts nowadays (wtf!). Red wine falls in this catagory.

Ideas?
