a beginner question about poker strategy

Im a micro-Nl player(overextending bankroll to play 25$nl). I have been playing 1.25 years.
My computer went down a month ago, which took my PT database with it. So im starting new, doing well. I feel that I am playing more aggressive now. Im playing close to 20/18/3.5.
My question is concerning my aggression.
I started raising my pocket pairs in the blinds at weaker-ish tables when called down to me, i used to just call for set. My thinking is ,1. I could take pot there and then. 2.I have bigger pot when I hit set or when i c-bet it down. Is this fine to be doing? Or is it bad for business?
