There will be a performance hit under parallels compared to boot camp. But the overhead of running under parallels is very slight......something under 10% or so. A macbook with 2.16Ghz CoreDuo2 and 2GB Ram can handle it with ease. In my own experience, I can have mail, browser, and IM programs loaded on OSX, and be 4 tabling PokerStars with PAHUD and PokerTracker, and my total cpu utilization will be under 15% or so. I have no performance problems, and the performance of all poker programs on the mac under parallels far exceeds what I was experiencing with my older Dell Inspiron. Jonathan |
