Bank account closed before Neteller's paid day

my friend closed his banking account and he forgot he still has money in neteller which is associated with that bank account. Now he's out of state and he doesnt want to wait for the check because he might not be able to deposit it any time soon. Can he make a person-to-person transfer his remaining balance to my neteller acct and I withdraw the entire balance in one lump sum? We're both signed up in the US. Thanks for any advise.
