It's not for value. This we call bluffing.

Players "bluff" their position so much these days that I think most in SB here wouldn't give it credit for a big hand based solely on preflop play. Sorry, that is what i meant by not much value.

It doesn't matter tha much if he gives us credit for a big hand. He will still fold a lot bc he is opening a wide range from SB and most of them play very badly OOP even if our range is huge. When he is ready to get together and play back we adjust, etc.

3-betting SB opens is definitely something most SS players don't do enough of.
