Default Re: Why is Vanessa Rousso always blabbing about game theory?

I was more embarrassed by how amateur the showdown was. Clownie was so nervous she basically calls her handout before a call was made and the chips go in

I disagree. If you watch it again, at the same time Rousso says "I think I have to call", she flicks her hand as if to motion that her chips are going in and then reaches for her chips with both hands. The tone of her voice also implies she is calling because she "has to" rather than that she is thinking that she has to call.

Yes, now that I watch again I can certainly see that argument. She definitely looks like she's reaching for her chips while she says it. However, I've been in situations like this (for much smaller sums of money I've course), and I don't turn my hand over until I'm 100% positive I've been called. Either I hear "I call", or the chips get moved to the middle before I turn my hand over. I also rarely call my hand out, I let the dealer announce the hand, because often I feel that doing that is rubbing it in the person's face. We've all had that annoying guy at the table that screams "FLUSH" while he turns his crap over, and that annoys the hell out of me. Often I'm a bit nervous as well, and I don't want to give away anything in my voice to let people know what a nit I really am.
I can see your argument though, it was still an amateur move in my view.
