Default Re: Checkraise on paired board

BB is a player that really often waits for the river to raise. He cold-called my flop-raise and is not so loose player. Could easily have trips

What's your point?

My point is, that I don't want to check and fold to a bet on river since the pot is quite big. Betting and folding would be a very good strategy, but by checking and calling I'm able to see the SD for the same price. That helps me to get important reads from the passive player.

Since he is passive, but not over-loose player, the play on flop indicates he has a strong draw. (Checking and cold-calling on flop smells like slowplaying). But not sure about his cards. I would like to see the showdown here, betting and calling a raise on river probably is not an alternative.
