I have invented a new statistic
I have invented a new baseball statistic that I am pretty sure will be an absolutle tell all how valuable a player is. This statistic takes into account walks, singles, doubles, triples, homers, walks, stolen bases, and even thigns like going 1st to 3rd, caught stealing, and reaching 1st base on an error. I am not lying or making this up but I am also refusing to tell everyone how i calculate it yet for fear of everyone saying it's stupid.
Calculating the statistic takes a long time I am going to have to look up every Mets box score individually and calculate it for every player, this should take me about 2 days. Then I will release the average for every player on the Mets. My statistic is so accurate that I believe I can use it to rank every Mets player perfectly, I would like Mets fans to chime into the thread and see if they agree with the rankings, then after all this I will release how the statistic is calculated. I'd release it now but I am 100% positive everyone will say it is stupid, so 1st I will want proof that it isn't. I am naming the stat RPP. Which stands for runs produced %. This statistic does not take defense into account. It can also be used for pitchers but for now I'm only doing it with hitters. |
