Default QQ on a K high flop reraise strong for Fold Equity

Hey guys first off let me say I'm sorry I can't post the HH due to problems w/ various converters and Absolute Poker but I really need your opinion on this hand so bear w/ me please

Ok first off the villain is 14/17 and I know he will happily shove AK/AQ to a 3bet preflop

The game is nl 25 and both of us are sitting with 100 bb, Villain is UTG+1 while i'm in the SB, he raises to $1 and its folded around to me w/ QQ and i raise it to $3, he flat calls after a short while so I know he does not hold AK unless he's trying to put a play on me but I seriously doubted that due to his straightforward no bs style.
Flop comes Rainbow K 2 6, and i bet out 3/4 of the pot and he min raises and i shove putting him on KJ, KQ hoping he'd lay it down figuring that at this point i'm going to have to call a turn shove anyway and I have the highest fold equity right here on the flop, he thinks for awhile and folds

Now my question is how flawed was my thinking and should I have reraised his weak bet on the flop. Also was my idea of fold equity correct on this particular hand. Thanks guys

I'm not gonna post results but ask me if you're curious =P
