[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] 3bet preflop almost 100% of the time that you feel your hand beats an openers range, or is 45-50% vs it [/ QUOTE ]He opens 4BB you 3bet to 12BB; you have just invested 12BB to win a pot of 5.5BB, it has to work (as in he folds preflop or you win postflop) 68% of the time, right? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but they fold a lot of better hands. And they call and fold a lot of better hands on the flop. And you out flop them and stack them a lot. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] don't bet flop and c/f turn ever [/ QUOTE ]That is a big leak of mine. I'd lead with a FD in a multiway pot to take it down and to disguise it and then give up on the turn when it gets potted. [/ QUOTE ] um, just so we are clear, i mean to say there are certain situations where you should never bet the flop AND checkfold the turn, an example being vs a decent player on a Q44 board. In that spot you either check fold, or you bet and bet again. Obviously in general you should be giving up on the turn a lot when called on the flop. |
