I just had a situation come up like this the other day when the turn paired the board with 8's and AK88 on board and I had like AJ or something... I had the feeling the guy was calling me down with an Ax so I decided to shove on the turn or river? I think and won not necessarily because it might of been the best hand but because of the fact that he couldn't call unless he thought he was ahead to WIN and not TIE the pot at best.

I just thought of a saying yesterday that I gotta keep telling myself when in heads up pots. "It is better to bet and be unsure of how good your hand is rather than to just call and be unsure how good your hand is". These 2 different actions are worth so much more in terms of image, aggression, and profitability!
