First of all, not quite sure where to post this, so bear with me.
Anyways, here goes: I wasn't involved in the hand, but the guy who introduced me to poker made a good/insane call in a home game and I wanted to check how +ev the call was. Alreet, so the game is pretty much $200NL (converted from Norwegian Kroner so approx, i'm not quite sure) and people are drunk. Last hand of the night, some donkey openpushes to steal the blinds. Folded to my mate in the BB. Donkey exposes a duece, and dared him to call. My mate looks down at pocket 2's and snap call. 22 > 92off and he wins a whole buyin with the sickest home game hand i've seen so far. But the question is, is this really a profitable call seeing as 22, even tho favorite over 2x, can be counterfeited in so many ways? |
