Brag: New Kitten

So I go to visit my parents today in the back of a holler, and they have a kitten that they've rescued and couldn't keep.

One of the neighbors has an adopted 21-22 year old mentally handicapped son. He'd had this baby kitten all of a week, starved it nearly to death, and he'd treated it really badly.

Example of treating it badly: Shooting leftover fireworks at it, letting the dogs gnaw on it, etc.

Little guy was lucky to be alive. The guy wandered over to my mom's house and offered to trade the poor kitten for a pack of cigarettes, which she did. Like 3 days later he comes back asking if she's seen his lost cat and she tells him no (lol owned), so she wanted us to take the kitten just in case he tried to steal it back or something (90% Mortality rate if it stays with the guy).

I'm pretty stoked because this kitten is awesome. It's like barely weaned and somehow it magically uses a litter box every time. It haunts me about how I got the cat though. Am I a bad person for taking a mentally handicapped guy's kitten? Am I an awesome person for rescuing this cat?

Either way, this cat rocks and I am totally stoked that it's using a litterbox and is just a baby.
