Okay, so I just recently graduated from high school. This year I took the AP Spanish course, which means I was required to take the AP test at the end of the year. The test is graded on a 5 point scale, 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.

So my friend, who also plays poker, took the class/test last year and got a 1 on the AP test due to a combination of him sucking at spanish and not trying on the actual test. Given how bad he did, he was convinced that I had no prayer of even getting a 3 on the test. I was 99% sure that I would never get a 1 or 2 and that a 4 was definitely a possibility. So, naturally, we bet.

The bet started out as a mere $500. If I got a 1,2,or 3, he won. If I got a 4 or 5, I won. I felt this was a pretty solid bet for me since I felt a 1 or 2 was basically impossible. To spice it up, we threw in a "blackjack clause." If I got a 1 or 2, I'd have to pay up 1.5 * 500. If I got a 5, I'd win 1.5 * 500.

But both of us were so cocky that it kept growing. I would say something like, "I'm gonna win for sure," and he'd respond, "No [censored] way." Then I'd say, "Wanna bet?" lol. He even made another $1000 bet that I wouldn't even get a 3, so I would win with a 3,4, or 5. The final bets with him were $1500 and $1000, and I also had $1000 bet with my other friend, same rules as the original bet.

So, AP scores came out July 1. I called them up...........

4!! Ship $3500!!!
