I'm sitting in a juicy 5/10PL Omaha game that I'm not goodenough to take full advantage of so I try to shortstack it. We are 6 handed and 3 players are straddling every time they get a chance.
They are all $3000+ deep. They are a bunch of gamblers raising with lots of hands trying to build big fun pots. I buy-in for the minimum $500 with plans to try to 3bet a raise and get it damn near all-in preflop. I get sucked into a few cheap pots and miss and get blinded down to about $340 when I see: Ks Kh Qc 3s. UTG straddles, UTG+1 calls, I pot it to $100. BB calls, UTG+1 calls. Flop: Qd 8c 3h Checked to me, I push for $240. On a side note, can you make money shortstacking PLO like you can NLH? If you can... "generally" what hands should you be playing and how? |
