Thomas More seeing his family for the last time in "A Man for All Seasons" always makes me weep.

The saddest thing ever is part 5 of a French Television series from the 70's called "The House in the Woods". It's about a French family during WWI and it made the whole theatre sob (including me) in a way I've never seen before or since.
