Usually in situations like this I have a pretty strong read on who is telling the truth.

In this case, after KoD's thread, I thought he was telling the truth.

Then, samo posted this and I thought he was telling the truth.

Now, I am leaning back towards KoD again!

"He said OK, he'll give me back the big blind. And he sat back in."

That's really the key. If samo can show a HH that shows KoD saying that, then I'll believe samo's whole version of the story. If not, KoD it is!
