I agree with Miles. I like just calling the flop checkraise.
And, like Miles, I would get checkraised again on the turn. In any case, I think one thing that is working in our favor in the hand is that UTG+1 is new. He could be one of those guys that likes to sit down and make a big first impression. However, given his persistence with the trappy play throughout the hand, I suspect that unfortunately for us he either has AA or made a speculative limp-cap with 88/44/33 and got lucky. Hands like 98s or 99 would be more annoying and aren't out of the question either. |
