Actually Ivey and DB are shortstacking the PLO games as well. There was a discussion about this on a strategy thread. Consensus was that this is a new strategy to limit the higher variance associated with PLO,(ala Barry's short buy-in concept), as many of the pros have taken hits from the higher limit games.
