[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] spook: Hey dustin, lets bet how much money you have in your wallet. lowball: sure. over or under 85.0000001 dollars? spook: under. lowball: we I have 3 20's, 1 10, 3' fives, and the torn quarter of a dollar bill. So that is more than 85 dollars. spook: but that is only 1/4 of a dollar. ldo i win, the 20 dollar bill isn't a dollar. [/ QUOTE ] this is not a valid argument people dont age in finite increments [/ QUOTE ] But people discuss their ages in finite increments. common vernacular is to use finite increments. integer years. [/ QUOTE ] thats true. But Tokyo specifically used the greater than sign, which is a mathematical symbol, saying "> 21" and this including all ages 21 and up. [/ QUOTE ] I'll also add that BobO specifically said "not more than 21" while Tokyo then said > 21, they then agreed to bet using these terms. what does not more than mean? what does greater than mean? |
