Default Re: question for the degenerates!!!

Ehm, this should add some perspective.. to constrast with the post that we daily do stuff that puts us at great risk of dying if you're doing something every day that has a 1-1000 chance of killing you (speeding, crossing street, some sport, whatever) then you'd only live 3 years on average. So this is clearly not true and general real life is quite a bit safer.

I'd prolly take the shot for $100k at 1000:1. Just once then. If you think about it, once you die, your consciousness ends, so there are no regrets or anyway. And it's not like you can escape dying anyway, it's just a matter of delaying it. Now don't get me wrong, by no stretch of the imagination do I want to die, but should it happen, not *that* bad in the grander scheme of things.

I'm not really a degenerate, I've won in poker steadily since I started playing, never really having lost. Only won small amounts though. But a 1000:1 to make my life soooo much easier, I'd take that one up..
