I don't disagree...I actually started the thread b/c I liked the Aniston pics.

However, not all advertising is about selling the product (at least in the short term). Using Aniston could result in a significant increase in awareness of the Smart Water brand. It may not immediately affect sales and the bottom line, but could have a positive brand effect (this is why some CFO's/other finance people hate spending money on marketing).

On the other hand, the first ad I posted not only had a beat chick, but it was difficult to identify the brand as tequila.
