poll : Sklansky\'s Brandi behaviour hurting UIGEA repeal ?
There is a very serious aspect of Sklansky's involvment in the Brandi Affair that I think some of you have picked up on.
Namely, that one of the most educated, respected, well-known, visible, and outspoken champions of poker involving himself so personally in an i-broadcast of the scummy sordid cesspool of duplicitous personal warfare that is the Brandi Affair might be damaging the chances for repeal of the UIGEA.
For internet poker to become truly legal in the U.S. the last thing we need is its opponents using Brandi, Franklin, Newhouse, Chantal, and Sklansky's questionable behaviour as a litmus test for the toxicity of the poker waters and whether America's children should be exposed to and endangered by such people. ( Yes, this is exactly how internet gaming's opponents think about the world ).
Sklansky's has made and continues to make enormous errors of judgement in involving himself personally in this matter.
Don't you get it Sklansky ? You are in many ways the image of poker. We expect better of you. Even if you intend well, you are expected and need to be far more savvy politically than this.
