Default Re: BAN PROGRAMS (PT, PAHUD, AHK, ...)

PT & PA HUD only help to certain extent.

I think if you talk to any of the really top online players they will tell you that in their small player pools they isn't a lot of use for it.

PA HUD can only give you a brief overview of a persons play over the past x hands. If they are any good they will have been adapting their play based upon who their opponents are, how their opponents have been playing etc etc

So at the highest levels people are constantly changing gears, playing in different ways in certain positions and with certain hands. PA HUD can't pick up these often subtle changes in a persons play.

What it really allows you to do is spot a complete fish and/or if a more solid player has a huge leak in their game as and when you are playing. I'm sure it is something you could work out if you went through your PT DB with a pen and paper.

I think a lot of players, especially the big 12 tablers, can rely too heavily on the PA HUD stats. Just cos you have 10k hands on a player and it says he plays 50/5, doesn't mean he hasn't had the light bulb moment the past week and now he has a far better idea what he is doing.
