Default Advice on limiting variance at 6-max whilst chasing a bonus?

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this. If it is, do you have some advice on the following?

I am attempting to clear a bonus to build my roll, but I have found I will not have enough time to get through the required raked (contributed) hands. I have moved from 10NL 6-max to 25 NL 6-max since I am likely to clear the rake quicker, however, I am only rolled for around 12 BI at this higher level.

On a good day, I am beating the 25NL tables, and on a bad day I'm a marginal winner although this is not over a large amount of hands so I'm very wary of the dreaded variance. Do you have any general advice on keeping variance to a minimum at 6-max, while enabling me to play at this level to clear the bonus?

Do you think it is more sensible dropping down to 10 NL and multitable due to BR limits? Bearing in mind only a small proportion of pots make the rake clearance at 10NL.

(I play a fairly standard TAG style).
