Game is live 1/3, max buy-in of $300. I have $350ish, villain covers.

While railing this game, I witnessed villain three-barrel a pot with pocket 3's, having hit his set on the river. He had no previous hand history with myself once I sat down. It was my first orbit in the game, and I hadn't done much but float a guy for a small pot.


Villain raised from middle position to $15. Cutoff calls, I call from the BB with the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Flop is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check. Villain bets $30. CO folds, I call.

Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I check, villain bets $75, I go all-in for $300.


How does this look? Advice on all streets welcome. My read was that villain was capable of making big bets, though I did put him on a decent hand, but I don't think he's that capable of big call downs. I was looking for fold equity on the turn. It would be hard to get paid off on a river heart, but I could probably get a lay down. Is this an okay play?
