Every so often in the Kingdom of Paprica, the evil Dark Prince is unleashed upon the land by the evil goddess Calamity. Fortunately, the pure and good goodess Poitreene sends the Maiden of Light to rid the world of that evil.

The Church of the Holy Maiden stands in wait for the Maiden of Light, ready to assist her as she needs. However in recent times, the people have fallen away from that church, instead flocking to the Church of the Divine Mother.

In these recent days, trouble is brewing. Strange and bad things have been happening. The Dark Prince approaches, and the Church of the Holy Maiden awaits eagerly the arrival of the Maiden of Light.
