Omaha Brag: My night in Vienna.

To accelerate redeeming my Poker Stars 10B hand reload bonus, I have been playing a lot of Omaha. After a painful night of .05/.10 and .10/.25 full table, I found this short handed .02/.05 game with an unusually high $3 AP. I thought it might be some high stackers, but I should have known it would be full of maniacs. It was. Oh well, a good chance for me to practice Rolf Slotboom's Vienna method at a short handed table.

These guys amazed me, almost every hand was raised and called by almost the whole table. I had never seen it this crazy before.

I always buy-in for the minimum and observe for a while. After losing one buy-in and then winning a couple hands, I decided to push with anything reasonable. I had three good hands in a row, and went from under $3 to over $20! I can't remember swinging that fast before, fortunately to the upside.

Out of 47 hands, I had pocket As six times and flopped sets twice in a row. That doesn't happen very often, but what was really lucky was that I was at a table full of very aggressive players who would pay me off.
