Live Tourney, Do I have a real claim here?
Ok, so I have taken to the local cardrooms here in Eastern Indiana (where they just signed a bill into law that will outlaw poker in two months, but that is another post) where I believe I have been cheated of some equity and would like an expirienced players opinion.
We are at the break of a two-table $50+10 tournament where 4 players have already busted out. At the break 4 players walk in and ask to play. The tounament director decides to let them play but with a stack reduced by 20% (starting stacks were 6000 blind 10/20 they were given 4800). In this tournament it really didn't cost me any money as I busted well before the money (it payed top three), but the cardroom keeps points. Points are awarded for any final table finish and reward the top ten players of the month with an entry into a $5000 freeroll. Had the players not been allowed to enter I would have finished at thh final table and strengthened my spot in the top ten. Is this a blatantly wrong thing for the cardroom to do in a tournament or is it a decision that is up to the TD that I have to live with? Thanks Emon96 |
