I want to get a chinese character (my name perhaps) on my back somewhere...not too big probably inbetween my shoulder plades, or maybe more to the side

Whats good about this is that most people won't be able to read it, so in a year or two when you wish you got something else, you can just tell everyone thats what you got.

I've wanted to get a tatoo on the back of my shoulder for about 2-3 years now, but there isn't anything I really want to get. For people not getting a tatoo because there views may change and they may regret what is written, I wouldn't worry about that. I think that only makes the tatoo cooler. Kinda like tatooing a part of who you used to be onto who you become, and it can be a good piece of conversation.

i really like this idea. i got a tattoo about 7 years ago and don't regret it a bit. it sounds melodramatic but looking at it really does remind me who i was and during a tough time in my life it also reminded me who i wanted to be. it definitely reminds me of the transition from then to now - a time period in which i've improved myself in every discernible way. of course, it is a Phoenix and i have to deal with people asking me if i got it because of harry potter...but other than that it worked out great
