Work, sucks.
Normal work schedule: 6 am - 2 pm, M-F, $12/hr, delivery driver commercial HVAC company.
New work schedule: 6 am - 2 pm, M-F, 3 pm - 6 pm (studio), M-F, plus ~3-5 hrs of homework. I recently took a freelance design gig with a local retail design studio. It involves unrealistic deadlines (1-2 day turnaround), however the pay is very good ($50/hr). Now, I'm sitting here, taking a break from design work. I'm also trying to take a stress-relieving break. However, I don't think it's going to work. You see, I have about 15 more designs to do, and each design takes ~20-30 minutes. It's 11:10, which means, I'll most likely be pulling an all-nighter, depending on how long it takes me to finish this rant post. This sucks, it sucks because I haven't slept since waking up at 5:00 am this morning, and won't be sleeping at all tonight, and will be working a full 8 tomorrow, as well as 3-6 pm in the studio, and probably some home work. This is ridiculous. I don't know what to do. I accepted the design work because the pay is just too damn good. I can't really show up late for work as my uncle owns the company, and they're dependent on me. I'm not looking for pity, I'm wondering what's the most continuous hours you've worked. Or most strenuous schedule. |
