"eight-liner" rooms?

Reading the Dallas Morning News about a raid on a VFW hall poker game (which is pretty sorry)...there was mention that DPD also get tips on "eight-liner" rooms. What is this?

Also (not to highjack my own post), but the article also mentioned the House Bill 3186 was voted out of committe and is being considered for vote by the full house. The bill has faced little opposition. Nice.
