Default Describe some of the most exciting at-bats you\'ve witnessed.

Let's get this out of the way: ZOMG Pujols wrecked Lidge with a bomb that hasn't landed yet!!!11!

Here are some coolest at-bats I remember most.

On TV: I saw Alex Cora's 18-pitch at-bat a few years ago against then Cub Matt Clement. He fouled off like 14 pitches in a row, then went yard, and IIRC, it was Clement's last batter of the night. Even D. Baker thought he'd thrown too many pitches.

I also remember watching an at-bat on TV from about 1992 where Ray Lankford was up with the bases loaded, and with 2 outs and a 3-2 count, kept fouling pitches off before launching a granny over the centerfield fence at Busch Stadium.

Others I remember in-person: Seeing Cardinals Mark Whiten (of 4 homerun, 12 rbi fame) launch a 464 foot homer that sailed by his face on the screen beyond the Right-Center bleachers. Before the ball left the infield I knew it was going to be the farthest ball I'd seen hit.

2001, I saw Bonds hit #70 late in the season off of some left-handed scrub Astro reliever. It was a towering shot. This one landed in the upper deck in right-center and was measured at 454 IIRC.

Of course there have been others that I probably can't remember right now. Also, surely most of us saw McGwire's #62 off Trachsel, etc.

Tell us about obscure AB's you witnessed!
