College Indecision: NYU v. Notre Dame
I cant decide! I'm looking at Finance/Econ as probable majors.
Both are top 10 business schools, so no real problem education-wise. For me, Notre Dame is about half as expensive as NYU (30K vs. 17K). NYU put me into the Stern Scholar's program. Money isn't a HUGE issue, but its definitely one of the things to consider for me/my family. Notre Dame has a lot less work/interhsip opportunities than NYU, but makes up for that somewhat with the alumni network. I hope to work in a sports-related field after graduation, so NY has the professional sports teams and ND has the college sports teams. Notre Dame has a campus. NYU has a lot more to do. Notre Dame is Catholic (+ and a -). Lack of diversity but people are a hell of a lot nicer. Harder to succeed at NYU with a harsh curve and very competitive classmates. Same-sex dorms/curfews/etc. at ND but partying very expensive at NYU. Etc. Your thoughts? |
