Jones--I'll take the bait here..Do you offer a rediculous deal just to have the effect of tilting your opponents? Or do you do it just to hear yourself talk? Serious question.
WPR- What's the significance of another player being at another final table during the chop talk? If anything, I would see an even chop as good for him so he can focus 100% on the head's up battle. I would never give a better deal to someone because they 'thought' there were a better player..Reasons for deals imo are as follows: 1. everyone is comfortable with their percent given relative chip stacks 2. in live games 4-9 players have all befriended each other and chips are relatively even- and the prize is relatively large for everyone (happens all the time). 3.chips relative to blinds are rediculous..making it a 100% all-in fest every hand (also often happens live, especially in rebuy events) If someone is swinging their stick at the table telling everyone how great they are..you best believe Im gonna want to play my A game take down that 1st place prize myself. why would I concede extra $$ 'just because'.... |
