Brag: A direct report of mine is retiring. He is a VERY high maintenance employee that bitches, moans and adds his two cents in every conversation even if it does not concern him.
Beat: His retirement dinner is at a nasty ass seafood joint that I believe does not serve alcohol and will be filled with nothing but raisins and blue hairs. dinner is tonight at 7pm
Variance: I like the guy as a person because he is pretty funny and has a lot of interesting life experiences.
I am best in social situations if I have a little bit of a buzz going. With that in mind my plan is to get real drunk before I leave the house and hope I can maintain a buzz throughout the dinner. Normally I like to maintain a certain level of inebriation when I am out but that's not going to work here. I will take advice within reason on how I can drink at this restaurant even though they don't serve alcohol. I thought about brining in a hip flask and hiding it.
