Default Limit Player->No-Limit...Short Stack Strategy

I'm a winning online limit player through 5/10 limits and I'm switching over to no-limit.

I want to use the short stack strategy outlined in Ed Miller's Getting Started in Hold'em while I study NLTAP and Harrington Vol. 1. I'm also ordering Angel Largay's book. I'll be starting at NL200.

Questions:

1) What kind of bankroll do I need to be maintaining? I know 30 buy-ins is standard, but what if your buy-in is only $50?

2)Any ideas of what kind of variance will I be looking at?

3)How profitable could this stategy be at online NL200?

4)Are there any other tips specific to online play to maximize my earn using this strategy while I study the game?

General comments welcome as well.
