Gambling at a Bachelor Party...

before i even get into it, we're going to the strip club the night before... [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

anyway, i'm throwing my brother's bachelor party on the 28th, and he just wanted lots of liquor and gambling (and strippers, but we solved that!)..

we figure on sng's, cash games, blackjack and dice.

i'm going to have to put the majority of the bankroll as the bank (due to the 3 other groomsmen being broke as [censored]), and definitely would like to have a profit at the end of the night to hand over to my brother...i'm not looking to kill people, but we're charging $5 at the door, and having a 50/50 or whatever...even a small profit at the end of the night after the cost of renting the place, 3-4 kegs, liquor, food, etc. is taken out is fine by me, i'm giving it to my brother anyway..

we're figuring 50-60 people or so.

so then, i have a few questions for you, the Home Poker forum...

--what should the rake be, if any, on the cash games?

--should we be charging a fee for sng's, such as $20+5?

--i'm assuming house takes 10% of all rolls in craps (that's been standard to other parties i've went to)?

--what other games could/should we have?

my main question is for blackjack...i can picture 2 full tables going the entire night. i'd like to have the limit per hand be $5...how much of a bankroll is going to be needed to cover that? at least $1,000, i'm assuming, probably more. you just don't want a bad 5 or 6 hands of the dealer busting to kill you...

anything else i should think about? i'll be putting up what amounts to about double my current gambling bankroll for the night, so i'll be keeping an eye on everything..i have my dad and 2 of his (older) friends to deal whatever they're asked to deal, so no worries there.

my buddy is a cop in the city, so he's security for the night($20/hr), no worries of getting busted for gambling, plus, he'll be keeping an eye on the tables.

my worry is that i'll become consumed with all the gambling going on (with my money!), and i won't be able to have a good time...however, if that's the way it has to be for everything to run smooth, so be it, i'll bite the bullet for my brother so he doesn't have to worry about anything..
