Default Re-Enter Buy-In - what do you think???

The Normandie Casino, Gardena, Ca just started a new Tournament called Midnight Madness, 10 pm, This tournament runs every night, except Sunday.

Registration is $50.00 Buy-In/$10.00 Registration Fee (Registration goes on for 2 hours till Midnight). There is a guarantee and free food if you play after midnight.

You get 3000 Chips, there are 3 levels between 10:15pm and 11:45pm.

What they are allowing you to do for the first time, I've heard of, in tournaments is wait until the break at 11:45pm and then you can enter as a new player.

Question #1

My Question is, instead of the 3000 chips, you get at the beginning of the tournament, you get 2500 chips between 11:45pm and Midnight because you can re-enter the tournament as a new player and they give you 2500 as the re-enter player and they also give all new players that enter before Midnight 2500 chips.

Is this worth re-entering or, instead get there just before Midnight and take the 2500 chips?

Question #2

When you're down to say 500 in chips at 11:30pm should you play fast because you can re-enter at the 11:45pm break?

The strategy to playing this tournament seems to be when you are short-stacked around 11:30 - you start to play fast and gamble - so you can re-enter the tournament if you get busted out.

A guy last night did this and placed at the Final Table.

Question #3

Has anyone else ever heard of a tournament that you can re-enter? And remember you can only re-enter at the break between 11:45pm - Midnight - then registration is over.

Waiting for your feedback.
