2 live hands tonight against LAG opponents
The following hands are from a $1/$2 live game that I played tonight at a local casino. The 2 hands were played against 2 different loose, aggressive opponents. In both hands, I have roughly $150 in chips while villains both have roughly $350 in chips.
I am relatively new to the game, and I found myself thinking about both of these hands after they were completed. Hand 1 - I have AcKc in middle position. LAG player UTG raises to 7. I call. There is one caller in front of me and one caller behind me. Flop comes comes 10c 6c 2h. LAG bets out $15. I call, other players fold. Turn comes 5c and LAG checks to me. I interpret the check as weakness. Player seems willing to take a shot at any pot that no one is showing an interest in. Since my hand is so strong, I consider checking behind to see if I can induce a bluff on the river. Is this my best move? Hand 2 - I am in the big blind. LAG player is UTG and makes it $10 to go. Everyone folds to me. I call, and flop comes 9 7 2 rainbow. Is this just a straight bet out situation? I know villain will likely bet if I check even if he doesn't have a hand. I am thinking checking to induce a bluff out of position here is a bad play. Not sure what I will do if I check raise and face a re-raise. I am thinking betting out is the best move. Any thoughts? |
