What is a "friend zone" and why does it exist?

I like the company of my girl friends sometimes more than my guy friends. You can learn a lot from chicks, they arent just skin around a vagina like some people lead you to believe.

I used to be friends with girls...We'd hang and and drink and joke, it was a good time...but then OOT informed me that it was completely impossible for a man and a woman to have a non-sexual relationship, so I had to end that.
