Pretty much, and getting shoved on by a draw would suck. I'd just treat his minibet as a check and see it as checking behind, which is a pretty good option on that flop. Especially vs a donk who probably doesn't read hands well.

If they check the flop here I like a bet, b/c if not you have to call a turn bet and won't have any idea what he's got.

Well I'd much rather be calling a turn bet (you beat a bluff/draw) than betting the flop.
