The game is now 7 handed after a donkey or two left. We have been playing for a couple of hours at a reasonably large casino in the UK. The main villain in the hand is a young Chinese dude who plays live for a living (I see him at a lot of tournaments at various casinos, he doesn’t have a job or anything) and a total drooler i.e. calling off ¼ of his stack pf with JTs etc. The decent dude plays well enough for a live player but can become restless/bored after prolonged play, and plays in a somewhat straightforward manner.
My stack: $300. Villain: Covers. Drooler: ~180. Drooler limps is EP, another caller, I raise to 14 in the CO with T9d. Villain glances at me and calls in the BB, as does the drooler, other limper folds. 3 to the flop. Pot = ~$46. Flop: 78Qr. Checked to me, I bet $32, both call. Turn: Some brick, check-check and I choose to check. (The turn also brings a spade flush draw). Pot = ~$142 River Js, completing the backdoor spade draw. Decent Chinese lad bets $75, idiot calls, easy value shove or call?? Fwiw I am not worried about the drooler calling, he can easily have a crappy Q or a J here. |
