[ QUOTE ]
ps - if you cannot find the fish... often the fish is you. I'm at a stage in my play now where I don't mind playing at very tough tables with everyone who plays at a good to expert level, someday you will get there too but not until you can beat the low limit games with your eyes closed. Take my advice above and you can get there too! [/ QUOTE ] Your tone is arrogant and condescending, frankly. This has absolutely nothing to do with tough games. The OP talked about the relevance of Ed's book to modern online play, and the OP is correct. There are rarely any games in the $2/4 limit or up that come close to the conditions specified in SSHE. (In fact as long as 2 years ago, Stars games at .50/1 were playing as tight as 18% flop.) This has nothing to do with whether or not the games are beatable, or the skill level of the OP. If SSHE concepts are misapplied, you will suck at poker. That is exactly what adjusting to game conditions is all about. Of course he will have to adjust to tougher tables. That is not what SSHE is about. |
