Default variance in $50 NL heads up

I have played about 150 HU games on absolute lately, and have about broken even. However in my last 34 games, I have counted 21 "bad beats" to lose each of those games. (what I mean is that when the blinds have been very high I have raced with my opponent holding the better hand and lost). I suppose this is normal poker variance but has anyone else experienced the extreme frustration involved when each time you are getting your money in with the best of it and still losing time and time again? Would this be considered a bad run? Or is this just part of the frustrating and challenging game that we call poker?

-- my overall record in my last 34 games has been about 7 wins and 27 losses. definitely my worst streak of my short career.
