Re: 5CD - Keeping a kicker with AA ?
In any multiway pot, you never draw two to a pair since you
are trying to maximize your chances of improvement, especially in making trips. Heads up: if you KNOW your opponent has AA, then of course, you should keep your king kicker. This situation might arise if you raise from utg in 6max and a solid player cold calls from the SB and you are heads up. This could also occur if you open from the cutoff or button and were reraised by the SB who now draws three. Even if there were some chance your opponent held KK, keeping your king kicker is better than drawing three. The problem from the cutoff and button is that your hand is an open book unless you sometimes don't cap with trips. |
