Yes, and if the answer is no you aren't 3 betting the flop enough. Dave should have to 4 bet QJ here sometimes or else we are going to be much easier to play against when we have AK high etc. Put another way, if Dave can correctly get away from top pair here because we 3 bet the flop that's a huge win for him and his cost of checkraising the flop against an overpair is cheap compared to the alternative.
