If they want to speed up the games without screwing over the teams at the end of halves, why not run the clock, even on incomplete passes or out of bounds plays, until there are 5 minutes left in each half?

I have not thought this through and just throw it out there.

I dislike changing the rules in the middle of the game. I would suggest that if they want to speed up the games, they should shorten the lenght of the quarters.

You must be kidding; that [censored] up every statistic. I was mad enough when they decided to start keeping bowl and conference championship statistics with regular season stats.
